ASCD is an international, nonprofit, nonpartisan organization
whose members span the entire profession of educators—superintendents,
supervisors, principals, teachers, professors of education, and
school board members. ASCD addresses “all aspects of effective
teaching and learning—such as professional development,
educational leadership, and capacity building. ASCD offers broad,
multiple perspectives—across all education professions—in
reporting key policies and practices.” Online resources
include research publications.
BEST - Building Engineering

BEST is a public-private partnership launched to follow through
on the September 2000 recommendations of the Congressional Commission
on the Advancement of Women and Minorities in Science, Engineering
and Technology Development. BEST sought to “convene the
nation’s respected practitioners, researchers and policymakers
and identify “what’s working” across the country
to develop the technical talent of under-represented groups in
pre-K through 12, higher education, and the workplace.”
Three reports were published online in 2004.

National Art Education Association
